HOLLY SPRING HOMESPUN first opened her doors on the 17th of April, 2004 in the historical village of Powhatan County, Virginia. In August of 2007 we moved to our present site, "the little white house" near the courthouse.
We offer a unique assortment of fine yarns including wool, silk, alpaca, cotton, corn, milk, bamboo, as well as novelty yarns from such suppliers as Tahki Stacy Charles, Schafer, Classic Elite, Brown Sheep, Harrisville, Dale of Norway, Tilli Thomas , Kollage, Universal and many more. We are the only shop in the greater Richmond area offering spinning wheels, drop spindles and supplies from suppliers such as Majacraft, Schacht and Grafton Fibers, including roving locally grown and hand-painted. We also feature needle felting kits and supplies. The 1st and 3rd Tuesday evening (6:30-8:30p.m.) of each month is our official Knit Nite, which is just one of our reasons to get together with a lively group of knitters - this is a diverse group ranging from expert to novice. The common thread is we all love the needlearts!
Holly Spring Homespun provides expert mending and finishing services on a case-by-case basis. Our prices are based on the level of complexity and effort needed to get the job done. We also provide custom-made services on many patterns. Our classes range from
the very basic stitches (knit and crochet) to the advanced level of
spinning. Our mission is to provide quality yarn, tools, patterns
and books that will inspire and augment your knitting and spinning
enjoyment. We love sharing our knowledge and are here to assist and
guide you through the wonderful world of fiber related arts. We
invite you to come on in and browse awhile - get to know us - have a
refreshment or just visit with us and knit, spin, crochet or work on
your favorite project. |
We do apologize if we have to tell you we are out of some items. We have been experiencing some difficulty with our system keeping the proper tract of some of the items in inventory. If you do experience any problems or have any questions, please feel free to call us or send us an e-mail and we'll do our best to correct any errors. Of course we would love for you to come by the shop in person - there's nothing better than actually "feeling the fibers and tools" first hand.
